POTTSVILLE, Pa. — The mayor of Pottsville is officially stepping down on Monday night in Schuylkill County.
Dave Clews wrote a resignation letter on Monday to the residents and council.
He is resigning due to ongoing health issues.
He will focus on a full recovery and enjoy family, friends, and grandkids.
Clews has been mayor since being sworn in January 2022.
Pottsville City Council is expected to meet soon to discuss the process of selecting a new interim mayor.
