MAHANOY CITY, Pa. — The National Weather Service received reports of multiple trees down and possible tornado damage in part of Schuylkill County Monday night.
Mahanoy Area School District announced that it will be closed Tuesday.
According to PPL, there are currently 632 homes and businesses in Schuylkill County that are without power due to the severe storms.
Officials say crews have been sent to make repairs, and they are expected to be completed around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Blickley says Schuylkill County EMA will be working with the National Weather Service Tuesday to assess the damage throughout Mahanoy City and surrounding areas.
