SHENANDOAH -- One of the biggest drug raids ever in Schuylkill County is underway in Shenandoah.
Officials have more than 70 suspects in what they're calling a gang-related drug bust.
Newswatch 16 was at the magistrate's office in Shenandoah on Wednesday when some of the suspects were getting arraigned on drug charges.
Police arrested so many people, they ran out of handcuffs and had to use zip ties instead.
Authorities said the raid was part of a year-long investigation.
Shenandoah Resident Earl Baucum said, "I've been in Shenandoah 10 and a half years and this town is really going to the dogs if you ask me."
Other residents are glad that police are finally addressing the drug problem in the borough.
"It's been bad for over the last several months and I'm glad that the police are doing something positive," said Archie Drumheller from Shenandoah.
Residents said they hope police can now keep those alleged drug dealers off the streets.
"They need to do more patrols I guess if they could, which they probably can't," said Baucum.
"It's going to be tough to keep it, they come back, so I just hope they keep a closer eye on it from now on," Drumheller added.
Many of the suspects arrested are being held at Schuylkill County prison.
FBI agents, U.S. Marshals, and state police are still looking to track down about 40 others.
State police said several of the suspects are known gang members.
