Electric bicycle crash claims life of Schuylkill County man

The e-bike accident victim was taken to a hospital in Lehigh County for treatment, where he lived for about 6 days before succumbing to his injuries.

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. — A man died on Friday from injuries sustained in an electric bike crash nearly a week ago in Schuylkill County.

Todd Cain, 59, of South Manheim Township, died on Friday evening as a result of multiple traumatic injuries after he lost control of his electric bicycle last weekend, according to the Lehigh County coroner

The crash happened just before 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3 near Woodland and Meadow Drives in South Manheim Township, which is just outside of Auburn.

Cain was taken to a hospital in Lehigh County for treatment, where he lived for about 6 days before he died as a result of the wreck.

State police at Schuylkill Haven and the Lehigh County Coroner's Office are both investigating that fatal electric bicycle accident in Schuylkill County.
