SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. — Throughout his home in Schuylkill Haven, Ed Sirianni has memories going back more than 40 years.
Reminding him that every Saturday in the fall is for Penn State football.
"My foot was operated on but still had to go, and I think this is 2018. We were working, and we ran into the lion," said Ed Sirianni, Schuylkill Haven.
Since September of 1982, Sirianni has gone to every Penn State football game home and away.
That's why, for his commitment to the team and his time in the Air Force, this weekend, Sirianni will have all eyes on him at Beaver Stadium.
He will be recognized as a hometown hero and for attending what will be his 500th game.
"I was sitting there like what? Is this a dream, is this really going to happen, and it was," said Sirianni.
Sirianni has never let anything stop him from seeing his favorite team, not broken ribs or his car catching on fire. He even got married at the 50-yard line when Penn State played Buffalo back in 2007.
"So total miles driven 329,682, 33,905 flights, 4,180 trains. I figure it's to the moon and almost halfway back," said Sirianni.
Although 500 games should be enough, Sirianni doesn't plan on stopping.
Next year's season is already planned out, with his next goal already in mind.
Sirianni will be honored at halftime of the Penn State vs Michigan game.
