PINE GROVE, Pa. — PennDOT says work on Interstate 81 will tie up traffic in Schuylkill County.
It's happening on a stretch in Pine Grove Township.
Drivers who use Route 443 will be affected.
Crews are removing bridge beams on I-81 north.
• People traveling west on Route 443 will be detoured onto I-81 north to exit 104 at Ravine.
• Travelers heading east on Route 443 will be routed to I-81 south to the Lebanon exit.
• That project began Friday and is expected to go on until 10 p.m. Saturday.
Meanwhile—the bridge work is also causing part of I-81 north in Pine Grove Township to close.
• The shutdown is between exits 90 and 104.
• PennDOT says traffic will be sent to exit 100. The I-81 north shoulder will be closed on the bridge until further notice.
• That closure of I-81 north will go on until 8 a.m. Saturday in Pine Grove Township.
