TREMONT, Pa. — State police in Schuylkill County have charged a former employee for stealing money from Tremont Township.

Rhiannon Adams, 40, of Tremont, is charged with theft, receiving stolen property, forgery, and theft by failure to make required disposition of funds.

Police say Adams made purchases totaling more than $22,500 from April 2023 to March 2024. She allegedly used township credit cards to make purchases from various businesses and wrote business account checks to herself.

Police say Adams also forged the signatures of two township employees on the checks.
