SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. — A sign language interpreter working for a school district in Schuylkill County is accused of molesting two students.
Kimberly McIntyre, 32, of Gordon, was charged Monday with having sexual contact with a student, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, statutory sexual assault, and corruption of minors.
McIntyre was a sign language interpreter at Shenandoah Valley Jr./Sr. High School. She was working with a hearing-impaired student.
Court papers indicate that the school's principal reported McIntyre to state police after another employee told him McIntyre was having an inappropriate relationship with a current student. This employee said the student confided via Snapchat that he had a sexual encounter in the fall of 2022. The student was 15 years old at the time.
The 15-year-old student said there was also another boy, 17, also a student at the school, who was assaulted.
After being questioned by administrators, McIntyre admitted to having inappropriate relationships with both the 15- and 17-year-old boys.
Police said McIntyre and the 17-year-old victim had sex on more than ten occasions, according to the victim, in various homes and cars where they "couldn't get caught."
The 15-year-old victim told investigators the two had sexual contact in a car.
McIntyre is due in court next month for a preliminary hearing.
