LAKE WYNONAH -- Dozens of brave souls took the plunge into Lake Wynonah in Schuylkill County Sunday to raise cancer awareness.
This is the sixth annual "Leap in the Lake" event near Schuylkill Haven. It's hosted by the Wynonah Athletic Group.
All of the money donated benefits the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Ed Heim of Orwigsburg said, "Freezin' for a reason. All donations go towards Make-A-Wish. This is my son Eddie and he was the first recipient for LWAG and he's also a recipient of Make-A-Wish. So every year we try and give back and were obligated to freeze for a cause."
After the plunge, folks were shuttled to the lodge to warm up with hot chocolate and watch some football in Schuylkill County.
