UPDATE -- The Schuylkill County coroner confirmed Tuesday that an autopsy showed signs of head trauma on the one-year-old girl. No charges have been filed at this time.
ASHLAND -- A one-year-old girl was found dead in her crib in Schuylkill County.
According to state police, the child was found around 10 Saturday night at a home on West Centre Street in Ashland.
Investigators said the little girl and two other children were being cared for by their mother's boyfriend while she was at work.
The baby was found face down in the crib when her mother went to check on her.
The Schuylkill County District Attorney said there will be a full investigation and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
According to neighbors, the children always appeared to be well cared for.
"I used to be out on the porch a lot with the children, and she seemed to be a nice young girl, she kept the kids clean and neat," said Janette Freiler, Ashland.
The family was under the supervision of social services in Schuylkill County.
Authorities said no charges have been filed.
The cause of the baby's death is under investigation in Schuylkill County.
