Police search for suspected shooter after attempted homicide in Pike County

State police are searching for Isiah St. Prix, who they say is responsible for shooting a 22-year-old in Lehman Township on Saturday.

PIKE COUNTY, Pa. — State police are searching for a suspect after an attempted homicide in Pike County.

Troopers say Derrel Ambrose, 22, of Tobyhanna, was shot several times along Mallard Lane in the Pocono Ranchlands Private Community in Lehman Township around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. Ambrose was flown to the hospital, where he underwent surgery for his injuries.

The shooter, identified by police as Isiah Amahziah St. Prix, 19, of Bushkill, is wanted on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and recklessly endangering another person.

Investigators say there is no immediate danger to the public, but St. Prix is considered armed and dangerous.
