PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Crashes snarled traffic along two interstates in our area on Tuesday morning.
Parts of I-84 in Pike County and I-81 in Susquehanna County were shut down while crews responded.
Drivers will still see delays from these crashes.
Interstate 84 east was closed in Pike County between the Greentown (mile marker 20) and Tafton (mile marker 26) exits.
Emergency officials on the scene tell Newswatch 16 that multiple tractor-trailers wrecked on this stretch of highway around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The crashes were cleared by 11 a.m., according to PennDOT.
They have not said whether anyone was hurt or what led to the wreck in Pike County.
Interstate 81 was shut down in both directions in Susquehanna County. The southbound lanes reopened around 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Multiple tractor-trailers crashed there.
It happened around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday near the Lenoxville (mile marker 206) exit.
We know at least three tractor-trailers were involved in the wreck.
We don't know whether anyone was hurt or what led to the wreck here in Susquehanna County.
The crashes were cleared by about 12:30 p.m., according to PennDOT.
