PIKE COUNTY, Pa. — A crash in Pike County on Sunday night left a 12-year-old girl dead.
Police were called to a crash at 7:53 p.m. on Sunday on Silver Lake Road near the intersection of Buss Lane in Porter Township.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, a Jeep was traveling east on Silver Lake Road when it pulled off to the south side of the road for unknown reasons.
The Jeep hit a tree and left a passenger, a 12-year-old girl, dead.
The driver and passenger were not wearing seatbelts at the time and were transported to a hospital for severe injuries.
