Hundreds take part in Paupack Polar Plunge

The polar plunge benefits the Tafton and Ledgedale Dive and Rescue Teams.

PIKE COUNTY, Pa. — More than 300 people supported first responders in Pike and Wayne counties Monday by taking part in the 2024 Paupack Polar Plunge, where timed-out rounds of people took turns getting into the 40-degree water of Lake Wallenpaupack.

Some used it as a personal challenge, staying in for several minutes. Others even took the plunge twice!

Our own Newswatch 16's Chelsea Strub took part in the plunge. You'll see much more from the event next Monday night on Check it out with Chelsea on Newswatch 16 at 7.
