PIKE COUNTY, Pa. — A park visitor was bitten by a rabid raccoon last week at the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in Pike County.
According to National Park Service officials, the hiker was bitten on March 14 on the McDade Recreational Trail between the Bushkill access and the Valley View Campground in Lehman Township.
Anyone who may have had contact with or was bitten or attacked by a wild animal in the park is asked to call 570-426-2457.
