PALMYRA, Palmyra Township — The Lodge at Tanglwood Resorts at Lake Wallenpaupack is preparing for the 2nd annual " Salute to Our Veterans" concert on the lawn this Saturday. The event will go on rain or shine.
Tony Schwartz, manager of the lodge, says you can expect music, food, performances, and vendors. Newswatch 16’s very own Kerry Kearns will be there as well!
Virginia Weniger, Director of Tanglwood Resorts says there are twice as many vendors this year. There will be raffles as well with everything from event tickets to paintings and handmade quilts.
Amanda MacDougall, Vendor, says she, as well as many event organizers, have family who are veterans or are veterans themselves. This makes the event very near and dear to their hearts.
All of the net proceeds will go towards Camp Freedom, a nonprofit organization that provides outdoor activities to veterans, first responders, and their families.
The event is free to veterans.
