PennDOT has lifted speed restrictions in central PA

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — UPDATE: PennDOT has lifted temporary speed limit restrictions on I-80 in central PA.

PREVIOUS STORY:

Due to the heavy rains from Debby, PennDOT has temporarily reduced the speed limit on Interstate 80 in central PA.

PennDOT encourages motorists to avoid unnecessary travel, but those who must head out will see speeds reduced to 55 mph. 

The speed restriction is in place on Interstate 80 between mile marker 210 (Route 15 Exit) in Union County and mile marker 97 (Route 219 / Dubois/Brockway Exit) in Clearfield County.

All truck drivers are reminded that during this speed limit reduction, trucks are to travel in the right lane of the highway.
