SHAMOKIN, Pa. — State Police say a hunter is dead after he fell out of a tree in Northumberland County.
Robert Plasters Jr. was reported missing after he did not return home from a hunting trip Tuesday morning.
Troopers and Game Wardens began a ground search in the area of Irish Valley Road and Elm Road in Shamokin Township around 4:30am Tuesday.
Plasters was found under a tree; officials believe he had fallen about 40 feet. He was 61 years old.
