SHAMOKIN, Pa. — Three people in Northumberland County are locked up after police say their confidential informant was kept in a house in Shamokin during a drug deal sting.
Charles Troup, 30, of Shamokin; Anthony Wetzel, 34, of Shamokin; and Logan Bressi, 17, of Mount Carmel, face a long list of charges, including kidnapping, robbery, and aggravated assault.
Mount Carmel police say they organized a drug buy using a confidential informant earlier this month.
Court papers indicate that the informant was taken to a home in Shamokin, where he was robbed, choked, assaulted, and tied up as the three defendants made up bags of heroin and fentanyl.
The man was released after about 11 hours and contacted police.
