NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — A judge in Northumberland County has ordered a new trial for a convicted murderer.
In 2007, Brentt Sherwood of Northumberland was sentenced to death.
He was convicted of first-degree murder for beating his 4-year-old stepdaughter to death in December of 2004.
There is no word on when the new trial will happen.
