Fire damages homes in Northumberland County

Flames broke out just before 9 p.m. Tuesday night along West Chestnut Street in Coal Township.

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — Multiple homes are damaged after a fire in Northumberland County.

Crews were called to the fire just before 9 p.m. Tuesday along West Chesnut Street in Coal Township just outside Shamokin.

Multiple homes suffered fire and water damage.

There's no word if anyone was hurt.

Officials say Tuesday night's fire in Northumberland County was accidental and not suspicious.
