SHAMOKIN, Pa. — Fire crews from several departments battled a blaze in Northumberland County.
Flames broke out at Firehouse Winery along East Sunbury Street in Shamokin just before 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
Shamokin Fire Chief Ken Pilkus says no one was inside the building at the time of the fire, and no one was injured.
Flames heavily damaged the first floor, while the second and third floors of the building sustained smoke and water damage.
East Sunbury Street was shut down for hours before reopening around 9 p.m. Sunday night.
A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze in Shamokin.
