MILTON, Pa. — The chilly weather has state police in northeastern and central Pennsylvania thinking ahead to summer and Camp Cadet.
State police in the Susquehanna Valley will host their 17th annual Camp Cadet this year.
Children aged 12 to 15 in Snyder, Union, Northumberland, and Montour counties are welcome to participate.
The week-long camp teaches kids what it's like to work in law enforcement.
"Build their teamwork, their self-esteem. We put them through activities. We let them learn all different areas of law enforcement from local police to the game commission to the military, to the state police and all the different areas we have to offer for them," said
Applications opened Monday for Camp Cadet in The Susquehanna Valley.
