DANVILLE, Pa. — Area businesses are teaming up to help people facing food insecurity in central Pennsylvania.
Giant, Geisinger, and Central Susquehanna Opportunities unveiled a new mobile food pantry Tuesday in Danville.
People will be able to grab produce, dairy, meat, and pantry items.
"This is for people in need in the community who maybe don't have access to transportation or maybe can't get to a store. This is one way we can bring healthy, nutritious foods right to them," said Nicholas Koch, head of well-being for Giant.
The mobile food pantry will visit various sites each month throughout the central Susquehanna Valley.
