MILTON, Pa. — A church in Northumberland County celebrated a major milestone Sunday morning in Montour County.
The Chillisquaque Presbyterian Church turned 250 years old.
The faithful marked the sester-centennial with a celebration where the original log cabin church once stood at the Chillisquaque Cemetery in Montour County.
Folks learned the church's history, sang songs, and later attended a picnic lunch.
"250 years is a long time, but it has been given to us, and we now have to pass the torch on to the next generation after the torch has been passed to us," said Charles North, pastor.
Attendees were encouraged to dress in colonial-period clothing for the church's 250th celebration in Montour County.
