MONTOUR COUNTY, Pa. — In Montour County, ground was broken Tuesday on a new Geisinger Behavioral Health Center.
The facility will be located along Maria Hall Drive in Mahoning Township.
Geisinger says it will offer inpatient and outpatient programs.
"This is an opportunity for us to take you in full time, 24/7, and give you needed treatment. It's about a 4-10 day stay, and people leave with an outpatient after plan," said Dawn Zieger, Geisinger Behavioral Health Vice President.
The behavioral health hospital is set to open in the summer of 2025 in Montour County.
