MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — Investigators are releasing new details from a deadly crash in Monroe County.

Officials say two people from Wilkes-Barre were killed in that crash Wednesday along Route 33 in Hamilton Township.

One victim was identified as Samantha Crich, 40, from Wilkes-Barre. Officials say she was driving one of the cars that got hit by a tractor-trailer.

Bryan Franco, 24, of Hellertown, was also killed.

Family members say Samantha's daughter, Elizabeth Perkins, also died in the crash.

State police say a tractor-trailer was driving south on Route 33 when the driver crossed over into the northbound lanes, hitting another tractor-trailer and three other vehicles around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help with funeral costs for the mother and daughter.
