MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — One person is dead after a fire in Monroe County.
Flames broke out at a home along Poco Lane in Smithfield Township near East Stroudsburg around 5 p.m. Sunday.
Investigators say a 68-year-old man was found dead.
Two other people suffered burns and were taken to a local hospital; there is no word on their conditions.
There is no word yet on what sparked the blaze.
The deadly fire remains under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police in Stroudsburg.
