Several inches of snow fell in the Poconos Tuesday

Newswatch 16's Amanda Eustice spoke with people who are digging out.

MOUNT POCONO, Pa. — Shovels and snowblowers were pulled out for the second time this season as Old Man Winter dumped nearly a foot of snow in Coolbaugh Township.

Shani Wilson was out with her shovel, clearing her driveway so she could get to work.

"It's light and fluffy. I could just push it. It's easy, so it's cool," she said.

But Wilson is not a fan of winter.

"It's horrible. I hate the snow. Honestly, I just hate it, but it's cool I mean I got to do what I got to do."

Others, like Luis Luciano, had another tool to help move the snow quicker.

"It's not too bad. You get used to it after a while."

Luciano has lived in the Poconos for the past 30 years, seeing his fair share of winter storms. He says this winter has been pretty mild.

"I think we only had one, maybe, earlier this year, maybe 10 inches. That's about it. But I've seen a decline in snow over the years. It's not snowing like it used to be."

Nancy Castro was out shoveling too. While she doesn't have anywhere to go, she wants to make sure the driveway is clear, just in case.

"I'm hoping this is the last of it," she said. "I want to give a piece of my mind to that little groundhog there. But hopefully, this is it and no more, and let's enjoy the spring and everything else that follows."

Many hope this will be the last time they're pulling out their shovels and snowblowers this season.
