MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — An expo was all about helping seniors in Monroe County.
More than 80 vendors from across the Poconos and the state filled Swiftwater Elementary School in Paradise Township.
Hundreds of seniors got to learn about options for housing, healthcare, and public safety.
Organizers say the annual expo is a way for seniors to learn more about what services are available to them.
"I think people feel more comfortable when they see somebody in person. They can look at somebody, they can talk to somebody, they can ask questions that they may not be able to hear on the phone. They may not be able to understand on the phone. And they can feel like they can ask several questions, and they can really get to the nitty-gritty of what they need," said Rosemary Brown, State Senator (R) 40th District.
The senior expo has been held at Swiftwater Elementary for more than 20 years.
