JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Part of a road in Monroe County is closed as crews investigate a gas leak.
Emergency communication officials say Route 715 between Reeders Run Road and Warner Road in Jackson Township was shut down after a gas leak was reported at Modern Gas Sales around 8:45 p.m. Sunday.
Residents who live within half a mile of the reported leak are under a voluntary evacuation.
According to Modern Gas, the leak was located and has since been stopped, but there is no word on when Route 715 might reopen.
