Route 715 in Monroe County back open after gas leak

A portion of Route 715 in Jackson Township is back open on Monday morning. It was shut down Sunday night as crews worked to find a gas leak.

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Route 715 in part of Monroe County is back open Monday morning.

Authorities closed a stretch in Jackson Township between Reeders Run Road and Warner Road around 9 p.m. on Sunday due to a gas leak at the Modern Gas Facility.

First responders took six people near the site to a shelter while crews cleared the scene.

They are all back home, and no one was hurt. The gas leak has been stopped in Monroe County.
