MARSHALLS CREEK, Pa. — As fast as the shelves get restocked, fireworks are going out the door at the Fireworks Outlet near Marshalls Creek.
"It's just an exciting time," said owner Ken Schuchman. "People love to be Americans. They want to be patriotic, and they want fireworks."
People like Ambi Rosario filled up carts with all sorts of fireworks. Rosario says his family traveled nearly two hours from New York.
"This is a fun trip," Rosario said. "I got this 'Bada Boom.' I think this is going to be fun for us, something new, something different. You don't find this in the Bronx, though. It's worth the trip."
Shoppers on Monday said the Fourth of July holiday wouldn't be complete without some fireworks, so they're stocking up to go out with a bang.
"I was watching a video to see before I buy it to see how it's going to look, the colors, the sounds," Rosario said. "Make sure you watch a video before you buy it."
Schuchman tells Newswatch 16 that after having to raise prices over the past several years due to shipping costs, he can finally lower prices this year.
"There was a huge reduction in freight, and some of the cost of importing the products went down, and we listened to our customers, and we wanted to make them happy," Schuchman said.
Schuchman says he doesn't expect to sell out, but if you're looking for something specific or the best sellers, it's better to get in before the holiday rush.
"We expect Wednesday and Thursday to be our busiest days. Certainly, this past weekend was a great weekend, but because it's on a Thursday, it'll be busy Wednesday and Thursday."
