MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — A pedestrian is dead after a crash this morning in Monroe County.
Crews were called around 4:30am for a report of a man lying in the road along Route 115 near Effort.
State Police arrived at the scene and determined the man had been struck by a vehicle and then died from his injuries.
According to the Monroe County Coroner's Office, the victim was a 57-year-old man from Chestnuthill Township.
His name has not yet been released.
An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow.
State Police are investigating.
