Timothy Gritman was sentenced to five years in prison for concealing his father's death and continuing to collect his social security and pension benefits.

MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — A man from Monroe County will spend up to five years behind bars for receiving his deceased father's benefits.

Investigators say Timothy Gritman, 56, of Brodheadsville, never reported his father, Ralph Gritman's death in 2017 and continued to collect his social security and pension benefits through 2022.

Timothy reportedly received about $200,000.
