BRODHEADSVILLE, Pa. — A bicyclist in Monroe County was badly hurt Tuesday when he collided with a sport utility vehicle crossing a road in Chestnuthill Township, state police at Fern Ridge said.
Troopers said they believe the 21-year-old bicyclist, Jacob Warner, of Effort, did not safely cross state Route 209 and collided with a Subaru Crosstrek just east of Shafer Drive a few minutes before 5 p.m. The driver of the Subaru was uninjured.
Warner suffered serious injuries from the collision. Emergency medical workers flew Warner to a hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately available Wednesday afternoon.
