EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — The celebration at East Stroudsburg University featured an art exhibition featuring works from more than 50 high school students throughout Monroe County.
Organizers say they're happy to see Monday's turnout and that people continue to remember the accomplishments and the legacy of the civil rights leader.
"Everyone embraces it. More than 300 members of our community, nonpartisan, just coming together to say this value, this vision is still important today," said Kenneth Long, ESU President.
East Stroudsburg University will continue to honor Martin Luther King Junior next month with a day of service when students and staff complete community projects throughout Monroe County.
