Land of love at a Pocono Resort

The Cove Pocono Resorts is getting ready for one of its busiest times of the year, with Valentine's Day next week.

MARSHALLS CREEK, Pa. — Dubbed the "Land of Love," Pocono Palace in Middle Smithfield Township calls itself one of the most romantic couples-only resorts in the Poconos.

For Chevelle Wise and her husband, Rory, from Maryland, it's a tradition to visit the resort during the season of love.

The couple isn't just visiting to celebrate Valentine's Day but 32 years of marriage.

"They just make it so special in the room. It's just so elegant--swimming pool, champagne glass, fireplace. It's just so wonderful, and it helps keep the spark in your relationship," said Wise.

"We really focus on the intimacy of, you know, your relationship. So, where other resorts in the Poconos you can bring your family is awesome. There are some great resorts around here. We're couples only, so it's very, very specific," said Jaime Hawley, Marketing and sales coordinator for Pocono Cove Resorts.

The resort is getting ready for one of its busiest times of the year, with Valentine's Day next week.

Employees are pulling out all the stops for couples.

"You can rekindle with a couples massage in the spa, or you can spend some time in a heart-shaped tub, or bubble bath. Relaxing by the fire just a no phones weekend almost just to reconnect," said Linsey Williams, Marketing manager at Pocono Cove Resorts.

February is the month of love at the resort, and one of its most popular suites is the Roman Tower. Not only does it feature a 7-foot champagne tower Jacuzzi, but the room offers so much more for couples.

"We have a bunch of packages that guests can pick from. Whether it's robes, champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries anything like that. We do have a month of love exclusive going on. If you book a stay at any of our three resorts during the month of love, you get a free passions package. Which is a fire log for your fireplace in the room, you get two small bottles of champagne, two flutes, and a bubble bath," said Hawley.

There is one last thing you might be able to give your valentine. Hidden on the grounds, here is a diamond necklace and bracelet and its finders keepers.

"We looked yesterday. We know it's in the common area. After we get finished with all the wonderful games and everything that they have we will be back out there during the daytime looking again," said Wise.

The resort is hosting an open house from March 2nd, 2024, from 1 pm to 4 pm.
