MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — A fire destroyed a barn in Monroe County on Wednesday.
A call came in shortly after 4 p.m. for Lower Seese Hill Road in Barrett Township near Cresco.
Barrett Township Fire Chief says the homeowner was burning brush near the barn, and an ember sparked the fire, ultimately destroying the barn.
The barn was once used for horses but has been empty for years, and the homeowner was in the process of cleaning it up.
Firefighters tackled this fire for hours in the rain. There were no injuries.
