MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — Fire heavily damaged a home in Monroe County on Tuesday.
Flames broke out at the place along Green Mountain Drive in Smithfield Township, near East Stroudsburg, around 3 p.m.
One person was home at the time and made it out safely.
No one was injured.
Officials say the fire started in the garage area and spread to the upper level of the home, causing significant damage.
Several fire departments, including crews from Marshalls Creek, Shawnee, Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg, and Bushkill, responded to help fight the flames.
A fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze in Monroe County.
