STROUDSBURG, Pa. — Parts of Monroe County are being transformed into something magical.
Fairy doors will be hidden in pocket parks around Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg.
They will be designed by local artists.
The idea for this came from a tradition in Ireland that celebrates Saint Patrick's Day.
"It's sort of a way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. In Ireland, they have fairy doors out in the woods all year round at times, and it's very, very cute and special to come across little fairy doors," said Trudyann Buckley from Stroud Region Open Space & Recreation Commission.
In addition to the hidden fairy doors, local artists with the non-profit 'GO Collaborative' will be hosting a Fairies, Nature, and Magic art exhibit at the Eastern Monroe Public Library. The event raises money for the Stroud Regional Open Space and Recreation Commission.
People will be able to spot the magic sometime in March in Monroe County.
