MOUNT POCONO, Pa. — The Monroe County coroner confirms a man from New York has died in the crash involving a box truck and a car.
Route 940 was closed in both directions between 611 and Carlton road.
The coroner was called to the scene on Route 940 and Devils Hole Road for the crash.
He says the man driving the box truck died in the wreck.
The Monroe County Control Center says the call came in just after 12:30 p.m.
The person driving the other vehicle was transported to Lehigh Valley hospital for injuries.
The snow has been causing problems for drivers all day.
Visibility is low, and some roads are still snow-covered.
Drivers we spoke with say conditions are treacherous.
"I've been driving for about a half-hour. I just picked up my wife from Amazon. She just an in here. It's really, really bad. I do have a pick up, by the way. I should have been driving that," said Michael Hirrel, Coolbaugh Township.
State police are investigating the crash.
