MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — One man is dead after a crash in Monroe County.
The one-car crash happened around 2 p.m. Saturday along Route 115 and Log Cabin Lane in Chestnuthill Township near Brodheadsville.
State police say the deceased is a 45-year-old man but they have not yet identified him.
The man crossed into the wrong lane of travel and drove into a ditch, the state police said. He struck a stop sign and then a utility pole before his vehicle overturned.
A portion of Route 115 was closed as police investigate the deadly wreck. According to PPL Electric, 566 homes and businesses were without power after the crash.
