PARADISE TOWNSHIP -- State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that closed part of Route 611 in Monroe County Sunday and sent two people to the hospital.
Route 611 re-opened just before 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
The wreck happened around 4:30 a.m. in Paradise Township near Mount Pocono. According to Troopers, an SUV was going north on Route 611 when it went through an intersection and hit another car.
The driver of the car was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital with severe injuries. The driver of the SUV was taken to Pocono Medical Center but is expected to be OK. Three passengers inside the SUV were not injured.
Route 611 near Woodland Road was closed for nearly eight hours in Monroe County.
