STROUD TOWNSHIP -- Interstate 80 east was shut down near the 9th Street exit ramp due to a motorcycle crash according to Monroe County officials.
State police said a motorcycle hit the back of an SUV and crashed just before 3 p.m. Sunday. The SUV hit a concrete barrier and went airborne. The motorcycle rider was flown to Lehigh Valley Medical Center. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
Troopers said the motorcycle rider, David DeJesus, 35, of Freeport, New York, was flown to Lehigh Valley Medical Center. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
The interstate was back open just after 4 p.m.
