MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — The whipping winds and cold temperatures didn't stop some people in Monroe County from coming out to support a cause.
The nonprofit "Boarding for Breast Cancer" hosted an event at Camelback Resort near Tannersville.
The event included a ski-style poker run, live entertainment, and prize giveaways.
The foundation advocates early detection and an active lifestyle as the best ways to prevent breast cancer.
"It's always really special for us to come back to Camelback, I think we have been coming here for 10 years," said Maggie Gonzalez, events and outreach director of Boarding for Breast Cancer. "It is so nice to see the community that comes to support us, all of the funds are really crucial for our programming.
Organizers say they hope to do the event here again in the future.
