Two dogs are recovering at an animal shelter in Monroe County after the animals were allegedly thrown out of a moving car.
Volunteers from Awsom Animal Shelter near Stroudsburg say as they were outside walking other dogs, a car drove by the shelter and threw the dogs out of the moving vehicle Thursday afternoon.
One of the dogs had a note tied to its collar, apologizing for abandoning the animals.
Shelter workers say they contacted the police. Awsom says it is in need of donations to help pay for the dogs' medical bills.
Awsom Animal Shelter asks anyone who recognizes the dogs to call the Stroudsburg area regional police.
