LANCASTER, Pa. — A Lancaster County fire and rescue team worked hard Sunday night to rescue a stuck beagle.

"Sassy" the beagle was found to be wedged under a large compost box between a fence and a shed in Manheim Township, Lancaster County, according to Manheim Township Fire and Rescue's Facebook page.

It took about 20 minutes for the rescue team to strategically lift the box and dig Sassy out of her hole, MTFR said.

Afterward, crews confirmed that Sassy was reunited with her grateful owner.

"Sassy assured us she would be more careful while hunting groundhogs in the future," MTFR's Facebook post concluded.
