LYCOMING COUNTY, Pa. — State police took a woman into custody in connection with the deadly shooting of a 15 year old in Lycoming County.
Troopers plan to charge Johneice Legare, 37, of Williamsport, with hindering apprehension and other charges related to the homicide case.
Ahmeen Palmer, 15, was shot and killed in a parking lot along East Third Street in Loyalsock Township Saturday night. Investigators say Palmer, a student at Williamsport Area High School, was killed as a result of gang violence.
On Tuesday, Lycoming County District Attorney Tom Marino said the county has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to gang violence.
"Once we start arresting, once we start prosecuting, once we start holding an adult who lives with these kids responsible, then you're going to see these gang members run for the hills," Marino said.
Prosecutors have not said how Legare is involved in the deadly shooting or if any other arrests are planned.
