MONTGOMERY, Pa. — A woman from Lycoming County faces theft charges after allegedly taking thousands of dollars from a nonprofit food pantry she worked for.
State police say while Shawn Gawblick, 50, worked as the business director for Footprints of Montgomery, she withdrew money from the organization's account.
Investigators say bank statements showed Gawblick made ATM withdrawals with her business bank card in excess of $32,000. There were also a significant number of personal bank charges, which included Gawblick's home utility payments, expenses for her coffee shop business, Amazon purchases, YouTube charges, and day-to-day purchases. These kinds of charges totaled over $40,000.
Investigators say the thefts started in 2021 and continued through this year.
