WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Students at the Williamsport Area High School are singing and dancing for a cause.
"We put on a show that is open for free to the public and it is all to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation," said Normandy Broaddus, a junior at the school.
"It means a lot to me being able to give back to the community, help out and making the people around us smile," said Cyn-sere Coney, a senior at the school.
The show is this Friday evening at 6:30 in the school's auditorium. You don't need to buy tickets but students ask that you donate.
"I would love for everyone to just come and see the hard work that we have put into it," said Ella Wilson, a senior. "If you want to donate then great. Give what you can. We greatly appreciate any donation."
The show is organized by the students. The school has been doing this for more than a decade. Coney says you won't want to miss it.
"A lot of singing and a lot of dancing. It will be a great performance from our peers and students. We are ready to put on a show and bring the fun and excitement to everyone coming out to see us," he said.
Students gave Newswatch 16 a sneak peek of the concert. This year's theme is Dreams.
"Every kid, no matter how old you are, has a dream that they hope to achieve. Especially kids in the situation we are raising money for, I think they deserve to have at least one of their dreams come true," Wilson added.
"We have songs like 'A Million Dreams' being sung by students. 'Greatest Show' from the Greatest Showman," stated Broaddus.
If you cannot attend in person but would still like to donate, you can do so here.
